August 5, 2014, La Quinta, California – Desert Jet, the premier jet charter, management and maintenance company based in the Palm Springs area of California, has surpassed three of the aviation industry’s most stringent safety standards and earned several safety certifications by participating in three safety audits.
The three audits were the Wyvern Wingman audit, the IS-BAO Stage II audit and the ARGUS Platinum audit.
The prestigious Platinum Rating is ARGUS’ highest level of safety ratings and is awarded only to those air charter operators who have demonstrated successful implementation of industry best safety practices relative to their operations and maintenance. The Wyvern Wingman audit is considered one of the most challenging standards to adhere to and one of the most reputable and recognized in the industry. The IS-BAO Stage II audit is a globally renowned achievement that focuses on Safety Management System (SMS) development.
“This accomplishment is the result of the safety culture we have instilled throughout the company,” said Denise Wilson, President and CEO of Desert Jet. “I am particularly proud of the leadership provided by Brad Lindow, our Director of Safety, who continually promotes an environment where our team members all contribute to the development of our Safety Management System and the overall betterment of the company.”
Less than 5% of all charter operators in the U.S. have earned the ARGUS Platinum rating, Wyvern Wingman status or IS-BAO Stage II, and less than 1% have earned all three concurrently.
