La Quinta, California, November 8, 2013 – Desert Jet announced today that it has been awarded GSA contract GS-33F-002BA by the U.S. Federal Acquisition Service. Placement on the GSA schedule allows Desert Jet to provide quality air travel services to all Government agencies.
Schedules are long-term government-wide contracts established by the GSA with commercial firms. This provides a vehicle for all Government agencies to obtain quality travel services when required from qualified and experienced contractors under a GSA Multiple Award Schedule in an efficient, streamlined, and cost effective manner. All orders placed through GSA schedules are considered full and open competition, which saves contracting officers valuable time in finding reliable and experienced contractors.
Under the new contract, federal, state and local government agencies are now able to obtain air charter services on Desert Jet’s fleet of jet aircraft using pre-negotiated terms and prices.
“This GSA schedule make it easier and more efficient for federal and state contracting officers to charter aircraft from our company, while enabling them to purchase from a small, woman-owned business,” said Denise Wilson, President and CEO of Desert Jet.
Desert Jet is one of a select few air charter companies to be placed on the GSA’s schedule for aircraft charter services provided by the operator of the aircraft.
